Every time we stand amazed at the enthusiasm of our village for what has turned into one of the major fixtures of the year.  Help is enthusiastically offered (and gratefully received!), from making the pancakes, to serving them, to washing up afterwards, and the volunteers all enjoy an opportunity for achievement, fellowship and giving.  (Not forgetting the eating - the pancakes are invariably delicious.  The initial idea, the ingredients, expertise, encouragement  and A LOT of hard work on the day  are provided by Jane and Robert Burdett at Chalfont Classic Cuisine.)
