Community

All our clergy take their ministry out into the wider community.  Our priest-in-charge, Tim, is chaplain at Bucks New University, and Melvyn not only takes assemblies and listens to young learner readers, he is also a Governor at our Infant and Nursery School.  Closer links are being forged with our Junior School, in concert with two of our other local churches.  The Infant School holds services and concerts in church at least once a term, hosted by Tim.

Angela has a Healing Ministry (for details see Services), and is also chaplain at two local hospitals.

Tim chairs two local charities, the Fawsett Trust which gives to the poorest in the village, and our local Education Foundation which supports our two local schools, our Sunday School and any villager with educational expenses.

Two toddler groups are run by congregation mothers, where every parent and child is welcome.  The emphasis is very much on craft and play, and a chance for parents to meet over a cup of coffee.  The sessions end with songs, a story, a children’s hymn and a prayer.
